Taking norethisterone before laparoscopy

Would that be a good idea? My period is due 4 days before. Have been told it’s ok but would rather not be on at that time. Especially if my period is late and starts that day or is day 2 which can be heavier for me. I don’t always get my period on the due date can be a day or two out sometimes. I bought some norethisterone to take but not sure if it will be a good idea or safe for me.

I had mine at the time, when I mentioned it beforehand he said it can make it easier to see.

I didn’t have much of a period at the time.

I can’t help on taking the medication, sorry. They’ll have seen it all before.

I got told monday just gone by my gynes consultant that it isn't wise to be on norethisterone while having the ops but I've been on norethisterone for almost a full year STRAIGHT no breaks at all due to an op that was supposed to happen this year but hasn't and tbh the tabs are excellent for not giving u ur periods but HELL THE PAIN, CRAMPS, BLOAT ETC is not worth it last night I had the worse ever endo cramps and pain from 8PM till 12am then the rest of the early hrs with normal period cramps it wasn't good not even pain killers worked!! I'm determined to end the norethisterone but super super scared due to been on it so so long
