Hi everyone, just wondered if anyone is willing to share their experiences with Zoladex? The BGSE I have been referred to plans to put me on it after an initial surgery, because of the size of the cysts I'm dealing with. Then operate again a few months later. I've heard absolute nightmares about Zoladex but to keep my reproductive function there is not much I won't do at this point!
Thoughts on Zoladex?: Hi everyone, just... - Endometriosis UK
Thoughts on Zoladex?
I didn’t think it was working, fourth on Wednesday, after MRI the consultant seems to think it is. It’s possible the pain is due to something else, or combination.
I haven’t been aware of any side effects. Taking Tibolone as well.
Hi Noodle,
I didn’t really suffer any side effects of Zoladex, mainly just night sweats! Don’t be put off by all the horror stories. Everyone is different. But it really didn’t affect me much!! I also took Tibolone which is meant to stop the menopause symptoms xx
Hey there,
So for me it’s been an absolute life changer so far. I feel I have my life back.
I started mine in March & I’ve been pain free & my endo is on the severe end. I’m on add back HRT which has been ok. I am getting headaches now & then but think that’s also down to a stressful job & juggling life in lockdown. I get the odd twingey pain lately when I bleed slightly but nothing like I used to. The first couple of weeks were rough due to menopausal symptoms but my endo specialist advised to not start hrt untill 2nd injection. I’m on zoladex & add back hrt until they can remove my final ovary out.
I was desperate as I was living with constant pain & tried the pill, coil didn’t work. It’s worth a go & I remember reading so many good & bad experiences I was very hesitant to do it but I thought what have I got to loose.
Good luck x
