Hey everyone, sorry if this is so much info.

I swear sex never use to feel so painful afterwards, but i feel it’s getting worse.

Now after sex my belly swells up, my vagina throbs inside. And ii bleed a little: and weeing is painful after also.

Any tips on how to make sex less painful?

Xx

Do you use any kind of lubricant I found coconut oil helpful before and after it’s natural and antibacterial

Thanks for ur reply. I haven’t ever used lubricant, I’m not dry before sex, would it still help? X

Pain and sex seem to go hand in hand with Endo. 😞Anyway, a lady doc said that ladies with Endo tend to be tense when having sex because they know its going to hurt so that makes it even more painful. My Endo buddy who was trying for a baby was advised to have "gentle" sex which seemed less painful and bingo 2 years later her daughter was born

Yes i definitely tighten up my body during sex, especially if they start going faster cos that’s so painful which I’m

Guessing causes the light bleeding.

The bloating or ‘ endo belly’ afterwards is awful. Puts me off even having sex ☹️

Thanks for ur advice, xx

Sex is painful for me too and has been for years. I've been told now that the pain is caused by me panicking and expecting the pain so my whole body tenses up. Unfortunately sometimes it's impossible. The only time it doesn't seem to hurt is after a drink!

Yeah maybe once the drinks in the system we stop worrying and panicking about it and relax more. Just depressing that we have to deal with this ☹️ x

Hi I’m sorry you’re experiencing this. For me sex has been painful for a while and there are certain times of the month the pain gets worse, so This is what I’ve done:

1: tracked my cycle to see when sex is most painful (for me it’s during ovulation phase) then you can avoid this painful time if you want.

2: use lubricant even if you think you don’t need to, it really helps. My doctor recommended Skin which is a toxin free lube.

3: see a pelvic floor physiotherapist (this really helped me identify when the pain is and I learnt massage techniques to reduce the pain)

4: probably tmi but my physio asked me to self “massage” before sex to help reduce the tension...or you can ask a partner to help!!

5: deep breathing exercises, sounds weird but taking Big belly breaths and exhaling through your mouth actually relaxes your pelvic floor (something my physio suggested I do)

6: yoga, specifically pelvic floor relaxation yoga

7: magnesium, relaxes the body and reduces inflammation which could be causing pelvic pain. I take 400mg a day and it’s a life saver

8: to reduce pelvic tension make sure you are pooing correctly! Any tension on the toilet causes pelvic tension (my physiotherapist made me change how I go to the toilet and it’s really helped with my pelvic floor and sex pain)

Sorry for the long list, I hope some of these things are useful. Best of luck xx
