Hi has anyone been waiting for surgery but it’s delayed now because of COVID?

I was due to have surgery to remove an ovarian cyst and endometriosis a month ago (May) but it’s been delayed because of COVID19 but I’m worried the longer I wait the more damage it could be doing! Any of you ladies feeling the same or been in a similar situation and can possibly give some advice on? Thank you x

Give the department a call, there should be some sort of update.

Beautiful cat, had one similar.

The update is they’ll update me when they can rebook my op but not right now while the virus is still in full force.

Unfortunately that’s not my cat, I have 2 black cats but it wouldn’t let me upload my own photo strangely!

Have you been in a similar situation?

Weird re photo, the cats tampered, didn’t want to be on the net 😂

Operations are going on, did your hospital get hit hard with the virus?

I knew a referral had been made for MRI, consultant bought it forward. Only found out last Friday. It was done around the 14. Rang, but they hadn’t set app as it hadn’t been done as urgent. Called them back in the afternoon to see if they had a cancellation list. They gave me one for the end of the month, playing catch. Probably collapse from malnutrition and dehydration before then 😊

GP was going to contact consultant to see if he’d contact them. They need this doing before considering what to do next.

Oh that’s great you have an appointment so soon! I hope it goes well and you get the outcome you need and want! It’s to hard waiting around not knowing what’s happening to your body or if the condition is worsening. I’m worn out by it all :(

It is exhausting, try not to overdue things and get too stressed.

I’m fairly sure the outcome won’t be the one I’d like 😂, partly my fault as I’d never tackled period issues for many years and just got on with it.

Hey, I’m in the same situation. I had an appointment in March which I just about got to go to, she booked me in for surgery 6th May to remove an endomtroima and to check if my tubes were open. Now it’s just a waiting game, I’ve had a letter for another appointment to see my doctor is October so I’m thinking it won’t be until after Christmas which I’m devastated about as I was doing the surgery and doing IVF after of course I understand but it’s still really hard x

I can imagine that must be so hard! The good thing is though they’ve booked you in for another appointment albeit you have to wait.

I have literally nothing booked in I’m just waiting for an app hopefully soon but with this virus it’s not guna be any time soon is it.. it’s a shame that thousands of people have to suffer with other health conditions while the NHS treat the virus, of course it’s serious but we’re also suffering!

I hope your app is a positive one and you get to start your IVF asap hun x
