I’m so excited!

Adenomyosis and endo. After 30 years of pain I am finally saying goodbye to my uterus. Just waiting on a date for my hysterectomy! Am I right to be this excited?

It is. I have endured many operations, treatments and taken soooo many pain killers. My endo is largely controlled after a laparoscopy in December could not find any. First time in 4 ops. Adenomyosis has finally been diagnosed and I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.

I just got my uterus out april 27th this year and I can already feel the releif.

My uterus was 19cmx18x12 and weight was 1450gr (normally should be 50gr)

Myoms biggest was 9 cm others many of them i have no idea. 😂

I am still recovering of course but still much better than feeling that hard thing everyday getting painful!.

I am in Germany btw

Lots!!! Yes Now its mostly gone and it comes and goes every once in a while... mainly left side

Mine feels like torch ache but all month. I thought it was my back but they’ve investigated it and said they can’t see anything machsnival that’s causing the pain so can’t be the back. I have a retroverted uterus also. So you feel better for having the womb out then?

You are free to feel however you want to. Its your body.

Noone but you will know how hard you have struggled or the pain you have endured...and the many other things that come with it, because its how your body deals with your issues.

Practical advise; dont go doing liftinf after the op, relax and recover even if you think you are all better. Dont rush it.

Also, as excited as you maybe you may find others reactions differing around you, especially dependent on how old you are. Remember that noone has a right to tell you that you are wrong for your decisions.

Yes. Like you I am finally going to be saying goodbye to my womb plus all the other bits and have been suffering for over 35 years but I have been told that the op will not take place this side of Christmas unless I want to pay privately.

I'm excited for you! I'm currently on the waiting list people think I'm mad! if I can at least get rid of all the lumps and bumps pressing on my bladder something is better than nothing I see it as! fingers crossed it works to being pain free or less pain

Please tell me how you get on! I got diagnosed via ultrasound and awaiting consultant for laparoscopy but I want my womb out ASAP as I’m in a lot of pain, mainly my back and ovary and the bloating! What are your symptoms?

After being in a similar situation from diagnosis at 21 and 6 surgeries later I had a total hysterectomy last Feb at 49. The op went well with a good recovery but pain returned within a few months so I’m pretty sure something is still stuck somewhere in the groin but sadly can’t seem to get any help. Fingers crossed it all goes well for you xxx
