I need to get out some frustrations I just feel with endometriosis we are forced to have the coil as it will solve all our problems. I’ve been told that the coil might be best going forward and was hoping if people could share their experience of it?
Thank you

I have had the coil on & off for 10 years. It has done wonders for the amount of bleeding, zero and the amount of pain, slightly reduced. I had a few side effects of headaches and slight weight gain but not sure if it was the Mirena as I had other treatments going off at the same time.
I had the Mirena Coil fitted in May last year, after it was fitted I had daily bloody discharge (lasting 56 days), for the first few months it seemed like my body and the mirena were at war with each other. But after the 3 month benchmark things seemed to settle and now it has been really helpful, I've not had a period since it was fitted. My cramping pain has lessened (though I think that's due to changing my diet more than anything). It has helped me a lot. Hope this helps, x
