I was due my repeat 3 monthly zoladex implant a couple of weeks ago.it was cancelled due to covid. I have no idea when they will be happy to see non essential patients again. Can anyone advise, on stopping zoladex, how long it's likely to be before I'm back in agony?! Hope everyone is getting the treatment they need during these times 🤞♥️

Sorry to hear its been cancelled! Hope you're okay. My follow up with the gyne to talk about my injections and next treatment steps was also cancelled ):
I had my last injection beginning of Feb after 6month course. Apparently its meant to stop it for a few months after but in March I started getting a few barely noticeable pains come and go, didn't really mind them much. However, past couple of days I've been really bad again): not hitting the same level as pre zoladex pains, but still pretty bad.
I was under the impression that I'd get a longer break from it all, but unfortunately all the bone pain and hotflushes haven't seemed to change much for me 😂.
Of course everyone is different, and I've found every treatment option they've throw at me, including surgery hasn't don't much (if anything) to treat my pain. So I hope it's different and more effective for you 😊
Thanks for that. I started on the monthly one and it wasn't til the second that it properly took effect. With 3 monthly, I notice symptoms, albeit mild, start to return before the next one is due. Just hoping it doesn't go back to how it was. Take care x
Hi, I had the same problem and was able to get the injection at my GP surgery
I was told by a receptionist that all such treatment was cancelled. Rang again, same response, rang again same response, spoke to a doctor, still same response. After weeks of a gap, finally got to speak to my own doctor and got it done with no problems.
Persist if necessary, it's a very serious condition that isn't taken seriously by a lot of medics.
