Hi!

I was prescribed both a long time ago. They are both progesterins.

I remember my gynae saying norethisterone will delay bleeding. After my Lap I was put on Provera to regulate abnormal/heavy bleeding. Everyone is different on what suits them best. I suppose its down to the primary reason for being put on them.

Right ok i dont want them to effect fertility so was abit worried which might be best heard provera cause periods to stop for a long time after you come out of the medication.

Hi, I used norethisterone only when I was a teenager and for short periods of time before I knew I had endo so can’t really comment on this except to say it did stop bleeding. The depo provera injection works really well for me with regards to pain and bleeding but I haven’t come off it to try to get pregnant. Everyone is different though. Hope you find one of these works for you x
