there are so many more pain killers that they can prescribe you, it might be worth contacting your gp as they can provide the best advice as to what they can prescribe. What dosage of codeine did the hospital put you on? Did they not offer any anti inflammatory medication? Why have they discharged you, have you had all of your endometriosis removed?

They did nothing no surgery, said keep on the codine, but I cannot cope with pain anymore

Where abouts are you on your endometriosis journey? Have you had an MRI? Have you had a diagnostic laparoscopy? Have they told you the extent of your endometriosis? Have they offered any treatment or discussed further surgery? Any form of combined or progesterone only pill? Zoladex injections? Are you under an endo gynaecologist? When you went to hospital did you go via a&e or was it an appointment? Did they give you any information?xx

The doctor referred me not been told anything apart from the fact I have endometriosis I had a scan and it was picked up, saw consultant he says I have it under control and discharged me buy I haven't got it under control, plus my boss is being funny with me now as having time off with it

Do you know the consultants name if so you can find out his secretary contact details and you should phone her and ask her for a follow up or go back to your gp and explain to them and ask them to contact. You also have a right to see the scan report so you should let them know this there is a member on here that’s very helpful on all the information I will have to look her up but she seems to know everything so I’m sure she can help you I will reply again when I have found her details you could drop her a message xx

No need to thank me I’ll always try my best but I don’t know all the ins and outs of exactly what’s legally right and wrong but you definitely need to see that report and you need some answers xx good luck and take care but know you are not alone xx

Your doctor might not want to give you anti-inflammatory drugs, which would be the main option if you are not happy with codeine, because of your asthma. Personally I have mild asthma and never had a problem, took ibuprofen and later diclofenac for a long time. Worth discussing with your GP.

Definitely I would say go back to the GP for other pain relief options. Have you’d discussed hormone treatments, like the pill, progesterone or the coil?

I also agree about asking for your GP to contact Gynae as you are not ‘coping’. I would be tempted to say get a referral to a different Gynae as that one doesn’t sound very interested, but that might mean a longer wait.

Hope things improve xx
