Having abdominal pain after my first Zoladex

I had my surgery on 27 Feb and a nurse told me they already started my first Zoladex. I said I cannot remember when they gave me the injection and she said it was because I was very sleepy they did it when I just finished my surgery ... Today I found I’m bleeding and experiencing abdominal pain. Is it just side effects or my period comes? I’m worried but I had to take painkillers. Do I need to see the doctor because of the pain? I was actually scared when I saw the bleed...

The saddest thing is I will have 6 month Zoladex treatment and then I’ll have my second surgery to remove my large endometriosis. They only removed some polyps in my first surgery... I am a bit disappointed about myself... so sad...

Oh hun, yes when I had the zoladex it was horrible, great for pain but bad for my mental health. Don't be so hard on yourself, this is not your fault! It is not sad, but great news they are getting you a specialist for endo and this is important for so many reasons. A good surgeon means they can remove more but also carefully to reduce scar tissue which endo loves growing on. I was very lucky to have a great one, first time. The zoladex helps slow growth by reducing oestrogen and preventing periods, which effects mood, sleep etc. Give your body time to relax and cope with the medicine. I didn't have any bleeding but I know people who did and yes they said painful. I found that walking daily for as much as I could helped reduce pain but loosening my pelvis. Physio also helped a lot. Big hugs :)

My first Zoladex wasn't too bad as they gave it to me wit Tibolone which did help but my script got messesd up the second time round and I was in a huge amount of pain and totally exhausted. I really feel for you, hopefully the next surgery will help to ease the symtoms. Maybe ask your GP about Tibolone as it's really helped me.
