I guess my main question is there anyone who experiences mainly the mood/emotional symptoms of endo? Are you prescribed anything?
Also can anyone help with the work place procedures I should be asking for to support me if what I have is endo?
My story:
I had the physical symptoms before. In 2017 DR said I had borderline endo (basically I had some of but not all of the symptoms). I then had a baby. And since my periods have normalised I wouldn’t say they’re anything like the pain I was having before. However I now have significant anxiety and depression, I have panic attacks which seem to be a lot worse in the week before my periods. It’s like I’m relatively stable and then just before my period my world blows up.
This is making me worry a little as I have no idea how to balance this with work, before having a little one I could just about do work and then just collapse at home that’s not a possibility now. Does anyone have any advice about work place measures?
Also, sorry if this is bordering on medical advice but I take citalopram which usually manages my symptoms although can’t that week before. Is this a normal drug for people with endo or is there something I should be asking for that’s more specialist?
Thankyou so much for reading, I really hope I haven’t upset anybody by my questions.

Hi, not sure I can help much. It can be incredibly stressful juggling everything.
I told work, spent time on sofa at work on various occasions last year, didn’t get diagnosed until December. If you’re having problems ask GP for a semi fit note, hopefully this would help with different tasks at work.
I do believe hormones play a huge part and sounds like you’ve had the brunt of it.
I’d suggest going to your GP if you haven’t had a blood test and check everything, including hormones, vit D, B12. You’ll have to ask as they aren’t standard. When diagnosed initially with fibroids I went on desogetrel, made a huge difference on emotions. I’d been offered antidepressants rather than a diagnosis several times, but refused. I haven’t had children I can’t help on that side.
Have they suggested laparoscopy to confirm and treatment if it’s there? If not GP should refer without issue.
Not sure this helps, hope you manage to get some balance back again 😊
