Can anyone help or give me advise?

Hi Everyone,

I’m new here and looking for some advice

I’ve always had heavy and painful periods since the age of 12, I went on the pill from the age of 15 until I was 22 which helped with the pain and heavy bleeding. I’m now 31 and for the last 5 years my periods had been so painful and heavy to the point I leak through tampons within a few hours and have to always wear a pad as well. I normally take paracetamol with ibuprofen to get me through my periods but never really had pain other then when I was on my period.

About 5 weeks ago I woke up with serve pain in my left pelvic area which I went to A&E, they tested my urine and ran bloods which came back clear and they also did a pelvic examination and suspected an ovarian cyst and told me to go back to my GP and sent me home.

The pain has been there since and I can feel a constant dull ache every day in my left pelvic area. I also have pain that feels like my ribs on both sides are aching not all the time just sometimes and I have shooting pains which come and go. My lower back aches most of the time and I had serve cramps and pains yesterday when I went for a number 2 to the point I was doubled over but today was fine, Ive also had loose stools for the last 2 weeks. I sometimes get pain during sex which can honestly be excruciating and last for 1 hour afterwards but I haven’t had this for a while thankfully.

My GP wasn’t taking my symptoms seriously so I recently changed to a new GP practice which so far have been great! I was referred to a Gynaecologists who did a ultrasound scan and told me I had a cyst in my right ovary and suspected it was a endometrial cyst and advised to me take the pill back to back for 3 months. Why do I have pain on the left if the cyst is on the right?

I also had stool samples taken which have come back normal and had blood tests done on Thursday so waiting for results.

Ive had the worst anxiety for the last 5 weeks and literally struggling everyday with pains and anxiety.

Can anyone give me any advise on what to do next? I’m happy to go private if I have to with an endo specialist, does anyone know of any in Surrey or London?

Really hoping for some replies or advice 🤞🏼

Thank you for reading 💕

I went private in Surrey back in December. Best decision as I wanted independent advice without a GP referral, which I had, but wrong area of gynaecology so I cancelled after my initial private appointment.

I was told Endo doesn’t show on scan.
