Can anybody give me advice please? 🙂

Hey everyone,

New to this, not sure if I’m asking a question in the right place 🤷‍♀️.

I’ve had lots of symptoms regarding endo, my nurse referred me to gynae which I’m still waiting for an app. I’ve also had a ultrasound scan last week which came back clear/normal.

Can the scan miss anything? Had anybody had this happen to them? My periods are regular, and I also have abnormal heavy bleeding inbetween with lower abdominal/pelvic pain. I have painful bowel movements and also started to suffer with indigestion. I am now strangely 15 days late- although I’ve had all the period symptoms the bleeding just never came.

Thanks for any advice/help. 🙂

i have symptoms too and had an ultrasound around a 2 months ago, and nothing came back... i have a follow up appointment with my gynaecologist tomorrow and im going to ask them for a laparoscopy as its the only way to see if someone has endo as an ultrasound cant always detect it... try and push for a laparoscopy! x

Hey, thanks for a reply! I only had my scan just over a week ago so I feel like I’ve got a long wait to see the gynaecologist which is a pain but at least I know I’m in the list! If you remember, would you mind letting me know how it goes for you tomorrow please?

Good luck x

Before you ask for surgery, there is a test that I found online in doing research online for a new protocol for my IVF. I came across receptivadx.com/ Basically from what I understand, they test your blood and if you have elevated BCL6 levels, which may indicate if you have endometriosis or not. The cost is $690 but how much is the cost of a laparoscopic surgery where they cut you open just to "see" "if" you have it or not?? Let me tell you, I've had three surgeries and they aren't cheap but neither is this lovely condition either. Ask your doctor if there is a less invasive way for them to tell you if you have it or not.

Hi, sorry to hear you are suffering! It’s very unlikely they will find anything on an ultrasound it’s generally to rule out any other conditions as they would like to ensure it’s not anything else before going in for a diagnostic lap!

Hope you get some answers soon x

Thank you! I’ve read it’s hard to diagnose endo by having an ultrasound but didn’t know if this was true or not!

There is Definately something going on, so I was frustrated when the GP rang and said normal!

Hopefully the gynae will take me serious and let me have one! X
