Hi 👋, I’m new on here. Just thought I’d share my story. I was finally diagnosed with endometriosis about 8 years ago now after years of being told ibs. I had keyhole surgery to remove the endometriosis. They then recommended the contraceptive pill which I was taking for 7 years then I had to stop taking this last September due to severe headaches and my blood pressure was very high. I had then told the coil is the best option I have I had to wait another month for this to be fitted ☹️ meanwhile in agony, bleeding, nausea, drained, emotional 😭. Coil fitted in October still not good. Now I have a completely new constant pain in my right side has well as endometriosis pain and all above. Been for scans and check ups on the coil. They told me I have a simple cyst on my left side nothing to worry about. Finally today I had a gynaecologist appointment and another scan they told me the coil isn’t in the right place now 😢. After being told it was. I’ve got to wait 1-2 weeks for them to take it out and fit a new coil. I really appreciate anyone reading this, just have no one to talk too. Anyone recommend any pain killers or if anyone is on any other treatment that helps. I’ve been on mefenamic acid that helped the bleeding but not good long term use. It started to give me constipation and Diarrhea. Just worried if the coil doesn’t help what other options have I got. Thank you anyone reading this. Also so good to know I’m not alone. 💕
Struggling to cope 😢: Hi 👋, I’m new on... - Endometriosis UK
Struggling to cope 😢
Hi! Hope you are ok! Sounds awful!! Cab you try a different pill! I previously had a combined pill and you had terrible headaches and they changed me to progesterone only..
Oh no! You would think they would prioritise getting it removed as you've been suffering so much and it's in the wrong place I find a combination of CBD oil, Feminax and Reflexology helpful for pain management
Thank you so much for pain management help. Just hoping the gynaecologist does ring me like she said and I don’t have to chase it up. ☹️😢
Hi, sorry to hear what ur going through, I'm on the depo injection and its stopped my periods completely, still have some pain (been worse this week) and I take morphine, naproxen n paracetamol which was helping but not so much now! Maybe ask about the depo injection and some different pain relief, hope u get some gd news sn x
Possibly try norimin as a lot of people I know have found it extremely helpful, wasn’t the best for me but it’s helped many others x
Aww love I feel for you so much!!!
Just so you know, you are never going to feel alone in this forum! I think this is my only way out in days of agony, because I can relate to many of you!! I can’t believe you have to wait for two weeks to get the coil out!!!! Every time I read a new story my blood boils!!! Why on earth are we women treated like this?!!! If the coil it’s not in the right place then take it out straight away!! Argh 😤 it’s a simple procedure that can be done by a nurse!!! Honestly I think NHS system it’s failing women like us terribly!! I had move to Germany just to get treated! And in a matter of two months I even went through my first IVF treatment although unsuccessful 😞 I already feel like I am an important human being in this society ... because the health care here it’s outstandingly different! Please hang on there love, we are strong and together we can make a difference! All of these women here feel your pain and frustration.... I just can’t believe you have to wait for coil removal for two weeks! Just makes me sick 🤢
A doctor prescribed voltarol suppositories to deal with my pain, and it actually helped a lot more than any other source of medicine, it’s very uncomfortable tbh but at least I was able to move around a bit more, CBD drops might help too.
Once again don’t feel alone and if you want to rant just do it here! No one it’s going to judge you xxx
All the best 💛💛💛
