So after suffering with unofficial endometriosis for the last 3 years and various appointments with Gynaecology, I have now been referred to an Endocrinologist. Has anyone else seen a hormone specialist and if so what tests/treatments do they offer? I have been trying different contraceptive pills to manage endo symptoms - currently taking back to back packs which is helping as no bleeding for a few months now but how long can you take it for?? Is it safe to take continuously without a break?
Thanks ladies x

Just had my appt yesterday here in belfast with an endocronologist. (Dr. Simon au) I had been looking forward to it as I am not in any medication and my aim is to help manage the pain as much as I can. (Severe stage 4 my endo)
We had a chat and described my history and all my syptoms...fatigue, tiredness, pain, waking up in the middle of the night, urine infection, blood clots during period, etc
We agreed to have blood test done to check for:
Vitamine D defficency
Iron levels
T3 among other thyroid hormones
Antiboddies test
From my experience the endocronologist is the 1st doctor that has really truly listened without being looked like a liar by all the symptoms.
I have a follow up appt in 8 weeks to discuss results so will update.
