I'm on my fourth day of taking Visanne for suspected endometriosis. Day one I had severe nausea and headache along with cramping although I was day 3 of my period. Day 2 headaches off and on and the pain in my side I've had for 10 years which led to this suspected diagnosis is very aggregated. Day 3 same as day 2 and now on day 4 my period is done but my side pain is increasing and I have back cramps. Has ayone else had an experience like this with Visanne? It's making me suspect adenomyosis over endometriosis as I've had laporscopys, ultrasounds, my left ovary and tube removed but not one doctor mentioned any endometriosis. I'm with a new obgyn as my first one just kept pushing endometrial ablation and my second obgyn met with me for 5 minutes, said the pain is from scar tissue in my fallopian tube from 2 ectopic pregnancies, scheduled the removal did the surgery and I never heard from him again!! Now with this 3rd obgyn who spent 45 minutes with me and my husband going over all my years of symptoms and ultrasounds etc and wanted to try Visanne but I'm losing patience with the whole process. I spent this last weekend on the couch with crippling cramps, so bad I take t3 with codein to sleep on the first 2 nights of my period. I've had my kids I'm ready þo just say give me a hysterectomy I'm done!! Anyone feel the same???

Oh dear sounds like you've been through a lot
I've not been on Visanne, so can't draw from my experience however a quick google search brought this up for side effects:

Sounds like quite a few hormones can take a while to settle.
As for a hysterectomy; it's something I'm sure a lot of us have considered, I have too. However it doesn't stop the growth of anything outside of the uterus, and as we still produce oestrogen (all mammals do) anyway anything that needs oestrogen will still grow.
With a chemical menopause (hormones): if it helps symptoms then quite often it means "surgical" menopause would also be suitable - perhaps this would be the case with you.
Rubbish this women's stuff
Well I lasted 2 weeks on the Visanne, I had to stop this weekend, it was too much!! I was having severe breast pain, headaches, woke up Friday with a lovely yeast infection but the worst part was feeling like I just wanted to be by myself on my couch. I didn't want to play with my kids, I didn't want to talk to my husband, I just wanted to be left alone. I was snapping at coworkers and feeling like I wanted to cry all the time. I called my doctor on Friday and she said it's up to me on whether I wanted to stop taking them and that the symptoms I was experiencing "could " improve over time, wasn't a risk I wanted to take, she wasn't very supportive after that, almost seemed mad. This is so frustrating!!!!!
