24hrs post-lap too good to be true...then bam!

I’m posting again but now, thankfully, with a definitive diagnosis! I had my diagnostic lap on Wednesday and endo was found on both sides (I’d only expected right side based on pain) and in POD. I had an overnight stay but didn’t see the consultant in the morning as he was on a flight somewhere so the nurse went through my file and his written notes with me. It said bowel and bladder not touched - does that mean no endo there or he would want a bowel or bladder surgeon present to look at that?

Anyway, first 24 hrs were not too bad, pain manageable with codeine and paracetamol, no bleeding, but yesterday the pain was getting worse and last night I passed two huge bright red clots and gave been in much more pain since. Is this normal?

Also, when he saw me in recovery and I was high on fentanyl he said he’d sent samples for analysis and results would be back in 2 weeks. Is this standard practice?

No, these are not normal for blood clots. Go back and tell them to get the specialist to be updated with your symptoms. Ask for a 2nd opinion if you dont feel happy.
