In 1992 I had an RTA and damaged my back. The physio always said I would have issues at certain times of the month due to hormonal changes. After some time I was really struggling with back pain even to the stage of having sex, I was in so much pain for up to 2 weeks later. I asked my GP to refer me back to my back specialist. To my surprise I saw someone in Gyne and was diagnosed with endometriosis.
I have had various treatments injection medication and zapping this but no joy. Eventually I was referred to have a hysterectomy as it was my only choice. I was 32 and had no children.
When I went back for my check up I found my Dr was no longer available and then stopped from practice.
Since the op I have had a number of issues. Initially i thought it had come back but this is was told was not the case. I had an underactive bladder and a slow bowel. I had another surgeon try and solve some of my issues, but after 3/4 they had to holt the op as it became too dangerous. I then was put on tablets to sort out my bladder and strong pain relief. For many years the tablets worked and now 2 years later, after many tests and tablet trials I had botox injections. These worked for 2 years now I am back to he start again. Having to wait 18 weeks for repeat of the tests and see if I can have it repeated. 2 years ago it all seemed easy to get this done but seeing GP. Refer to dept now 18 week to get another appointment. All due to my op not going wrong.
For the past 22 years I have had so many problems maybe having endometriosis would have been better
