still at school and struggling - glad I found this site

Recently I was put on a new medication, and instead of it helping me it has made my symptoms worse. my GP said there wasn't really anything else to do apart from try stronger pain killers. I'm starting to get scared that they are going to get closer to a diagnosis of endometriosis. No one at school, apart a teacher who has it, understands and I just needed people to talk to that know exactly what I'm going through.

I am so so sorry you have to deal with this.

Endometriosis can be diagnosed primarily via a careful evaluation of symptoms with a trained excision surgeon and endometriosis gyn + the laparoscopy aimed at removing it will confirm it.

I strongly suggest you stop turning to your GP or a regular gynaecologist and get to the bottom of this.

I can provide a list of the most skilled and experienced endometriosis excision surgeons/gyns, who I strongly suggest you book an appointment with.

I also suggest you maybe discuss the possibility of birth control if that's something you want to look into and ask your GP to get your vitamin D levels checked out ASAP.

Eating clean (lots of fish, veggies, some fruit and nuts, some wholegrains, pasture-raised eggs), drinking lots of water, sleeping a lot, avoiding smoke, alcohol, dairy, soy, desserts/sweets, coffee, anything fried or processed, refined carbs, getting sun and outdoor movement such as walking are very important.
