Bleeding after hysterectomy.

Did anyone have a post hysterectomy Bleeding? I had a total hysterectomy with both ovaries out. Just finished two weeks. Didn't have bleeding in two weeks, but yesterday had some bleeding. Had used a thin sanitary pad. The endo nurse says it's normal to bleed 6 to 8 weeks. Pls share if anyone bled after hysterectomy?

Hi, I had a total hysterectomy last year, I also bleed a few weeks after, not heavy, and like you I used only thin pads, I told my surgeon when I went back for my following up, he checked me out and did a small procedure where he sealed up a small tear on the inside from my internal stitches, it only took 1 min, it didn’t hurt it was just uncomfortable. This is very common, I read about it in the leaflets about the surgery I was given in my pre op. This might not be the case with you, it could just be post op bleeding and it will just stop. If it’s not stopped in a few more weeks, I’d go see your GP just to be checked out.

Hi! Similar to you I had no bleeding for 2 weeks then had light bleeding until 7 weeks post op. Everything seems to have settled now so hopefully you’ll experience the same. Keep well😊

Hi may I ask did it clear up? I am 11 days post op and my bleeding started a few days ago it’s only light but I just wondered what you were advised? Thank you x
