I'm struggling to balance work life and coping with endo. I have to take off sick days every time my period comes on and it's really unpredictable, so it's hard for my boss to work around too. I currently work in the service industry, but I'm thinking of changing careers to something I can do even when I'm on my period. If there was some sort of office job I could take my hot water bottle and electric pads in with; it would be perfect. But I don't know what I can do that I can re train for in a short period of time? I've really not got very much money I'm on a zero hours contract and I'm just stuck for what to do. Has anyone got any advice? I have a 2:1 in sport and exercise science from before my endo got bad :')
Thank you

I feel for you there! I agree, I work on my feet all day with young children and am desperately trying to fin a job where I can sit down and use my TENS Machine or hot water bottle when I need to - obviously no chance of that when looking after kids. I also can't take codine or other painkillers I need as I worry about being responsible for little ones and they make me so drowsy. Fingers crossed for us both finding something soon - we're due some good news I'm sure!!
Maybe try getting an ad mind based job. I've got an office job and work from home when I need to but as its an office job I can plug my heating wrap in at work easily. And I'm not on my feet all the time which helps. Unfortunately not all offices are understanding of the condition so things like being able to work from home I know is a luxury that I'm lucky to get. But a desk job definitely helps me manage mine day to day at work.
