Any advice?

I have been off work all week with severe pain in both sides of my pelvis shooting down (mainly in my left side whereas my pain is usually in my right), back pain, pain in my lung, chest pain, diarrhoea, nausea, pressure when I wee and going frequently.

I went to the docs on Monday and they were convinced it was a bladder infection, I told them it wasn’t as I’ve had many and know exactly what that feels like. I did a urine sample and no bladder infection - but they prescribed me antibiotics anyway...

This morning, severe nausea and chills. Went back to the doctors and now they reckon kidney infection! Given more antibiotics and had blood tests. Now this evening, I have excruciating period type pain, pressure in my pelvis and painful to go for a number 2! It’s worth noting I’ve had 4 zoladex injections so I really shouldn’t have this pain...

I don’t even know what to do anymore they just keep fobbing me off with antibiotics. I still haven’t even received a letter for even a scan for my suspected endo. I have now had 5 days off work unpaid and it’s really stressing me out.

I experienced exactly the same thing 4 injections into Zoladex. I decided not to continue. Had an MRI and turns out I have deeply infiltrating endometriosis in the bowel, bladder and ligaments supporting the womb, which doesn’t respond to Zoladex. Will find out on Monday what my treatment plan is. Sounds like you need to be referred back to gynaecology for more in-depth tests. Feel better soon x

Sorry to hear that but glad that there is someone who’s can relate! I am still with gynae but waiting for a scan and also requested a re referral to a specific endometriosis specialist for a second opinion but have had nothing through the post yet.

Considering going to a&e today as I’m in absolute agony 😖 I was up at 3am with the same period pain I used to get. Pressure in my vagina and bum, really bad back pain. I’ve struggled just going downstairs. Don’t know if it’s even worth my while going to hospital x

I did eventually and was given morphine. Worth a try. You shouldn’t have to suffer such terrible pain
