Tips for dealing with hormone related depression?

I’m currently waiting for a procedure to remove my coil as the strings are lost, so I can’t even get it out ASAP. The depression is getting bad and I things I usually enjoy aren’t helping.

Hi Ash, have you spoken to your gp about this? After dealing with (what I believe was) hormonal depression for years I have recently started taking antidepressants; sertraline to be specific. I heard a lot of horror stories and really resisted for a long time before a friend encouraged me to be open minded and now I feel like I finally have control of my mental state for the first time in years!

I also see a counsellor every week where I’ve spent a surprising amount of time talking about my endometriosis and how it affects my life, it’s really helped.

I hope you get some relief soon xxx
