Bleeding during continuous pull taking

I’m still awaiting a gynae appointment and my GP has taken the approach of putting me on the low estrogen pill continuously to keep my symptoms at bay. I have to admit the first few months were great, I had very few symptoms and no periods but I must be on my 5th consecutive packet now and I’m getting irregular bleeding. It’s mostly brown blood but I can go a few days with nothing and then it reappears. I’m also feeling like I’ve got the usual cramps, sore breasts etc I would get during a normal period.

Has anyone else experienced irregular bleeding whilst continuously taking the pill?

Yes I had the same thing. The GP told me to take the pill continuously and the same thing happened. When I was at the specialist they said I should be taking a break from the pill every 2-3 packets or this would happen.

But in saying this I only started taking a break in the pill after I’d had my first laparoscopy and started on zoladex injections. Before this my periods were excruciatingly painful. After they were still sore enough to be off work for a few days but not bad enough to have to go to A&E. (I’ve since had another laparoscopy which has really improved my symptoms.)

I’d go back to the doctor and tell them what’s happening.

I’m currently going through the exact same thing, I’ve already had my gynae appointment and I am waiting to get a laparoscopy as the consultant is 99% sure I have endometriosis with my symptoms. I would personally hold off until you go to gynae and see what they say there, I phoned up after waiting around 8 weeks and got a cancellation for two days later so maybe worth doing that just in case? Hope you get to the bottom of it! Xx

I've got continuous bleeding too (10 ish months now), I'm on two pills and I've also got the coil.
