I have just been started on the prostap injections. After being given only vague information I was hoping I could get some opinions on how this has worked for other.
I am due to start HRT over the next few weeks.
Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

I’ve been having the prostap jabs for 5 months now, at first they made me worse so I prepared for this and had a lot of duvet days and painkillers to hand. Then I started to get better and I couldn’t believe I ever would! I’m taking mine to shrink as much endo before my op 🤞 this will hopefully make my recovery better. I’m also on hrt patches and these are really hard to get hold of at the mo so I’m taking progesterone pills and estrogen patches. For some prostap is rubbish but for me it is amazing!! Unfortunately it’s bad for our bones and we can’t be on it long term ☹️ Good luck xx
Thank you. I've started to feel the aches pretty quick. Especially in my hips. Have to wait to see the pain management specialist because there are so many pain killers I can't take with having damaged kidneys. Gp won't prescribe me anything until I've seen them. But it gives me hope that this will give me more time pain free. Hope your op goes well.
Thank you, I have blood clots in my family so Drs are reluctant to give me certain medications. Good luck seeing pain management specialist and hope you can find a painkiller which works for you xx
