- missed miscarriage last year and a chemical miscarriage
- change in bowel habits over last 2 (ish) years - either very loose or constipated
- pelvic/abdominal pain daily (I would say I’ve been having shooting/stabbing pains since after having my daughter)
- painful periods - stopped when I went on depot
- lower back pain (feels like if I move too fast it will snap)
- fatigue
I had a colonoscopy around 2 years ago - clear
Scan after miscarriage - clear
Could the symptoms point to endometriosis?
I went to doctors last week with abdominal pain they had a feel of my Tummy said it was tender and go back if gets worse 😳 so basically he told me what I already knew - my belly hurt!
Any advice would be appreciated! Xx

Would you say it started right after the 1st pregnancy 9 years ago or a few years after it?? I am asking because I’m trying to determine if pregnancy actually makes it worse or brings it on. I have had 2 miscarriages and never had pain before them; scared that if I carry a child to term I will be in worse pain forever after.... but a lot of people say it gets better after pregnancy? 🤔. Thanks!! X
It could be! Unfortunately, those symptoms crossover many conditions.
If I were you, I would ask my GP to refer me to a gyne specialist. They can give you a transvaginal scan to rule out any cysts for example and although they cant diagnose endo from ultrasound, they "usually" can see if the lining of the womb is thicker than usual, which points towards endo. In that case, they could plan a exploratory laparoscopy to officially diagnose you. I would really push to see a consultant, as the GP does not have the equipment (or usually experience/speciality) to diagnose endo.
Definitely sounds like endo. My son was also 9 when I was diagnosed but unfortunately that was after several years of the NHS saying there was nothing wrong and I was experiencing “secondary unexplained infertility”. The only way to properly diagnose is with keyhole surgery and the NHS are reluctant so it can take years for a diagnosis. I eventually went private and had the diagnosis within a month.
I have spoken with a private GP today who advised I get referred to a Gyno. However I can not afford to go private so have booked in to see the GP next Thursday to see a doctor and push for a referral to Gyno.
I have always presented my symptoms as separate and never thought they could be related until recently!
I would say I have suffered slight abdominal pain since after I had my daughter - I hadn't experienced the pain before (or hadn't noticed it) I was only 16 when I had her.
Every time I have been to the GP they've said - if it gets worse come back etc.. but as time goes on I seem to develop more symptoms and I am now fed up and want to know whats happening to my body.
