Just wondering if anyone can help or give any advice.
I have my next fertility appointment next week where they will have all the results for both me and my partner and I am so nervous as I have no idea what to expect!
I suffer with PCOS and endometriosis, we have been trying for almost two years and still nothing.
Can anyone advise what their second appointment with the results consisted off? Did they start you on treatment? They have spoke about maybe having to do another operation as at my previous laparoscopy they didn’t test my tubes to see if they were blocked.
Any advice is very much appreciated as my mind is going at 100mph at the minute!
Thank you all 💖

Hi Ellie, how are you feeling today? It's understandable your mind is on over-drive at the moment. I can completely relate to that strange feeling in anticipation of the appointment. I felt a mixture of anxious and excited so spent a good few weeks totally buzzed haha! At our first appointment with our infertility/gynae consultant she confirmed all of our details and discussed our test results. In my case she recommended laparoscopy & dye to remove tissue that is affecting my ability to get pregnant and to ensure my fallopian tubes aren't blocked. We've been trying unsuccessfully for 3 years 6 months...and counting! In our case our consultant said she'd recommend a referral for IVF after my lap so we've got another appointment at the infertility clinic later in the year to make some decisions.
I think the outcome and possibilities for your appointment will hugely depend on the outcome of your test results too.
I've found the process very positive so far and my appointments have all been processed in a timely manner so I've never had to wait longer than a few months at a time which is amazing. Got to have some good luck, somewhere right? 😂 If we do decide to proceed, current IVF waiting times are +1 year so we're in this for the long haul!
What I found helped me was to have a list of questions or concerns that I wanted to ask at the infertility clinic & when a new question popped into my head over the few weeks I waited I added it into my notebook! Is this something you & your other half have considered? Xx
