Hi 👋🏻

I have recently been diagnosed with Endometriosis and Adenomyosis. I also have a Conditions called Livedo Reticularis and this means I can not take Hormone Replacement Therapies, like the contraceptive pill. Has anyone had any luck with more natural remedies helping with hormone balance? Supplements, diet etc?

Thanks

Clare. x

Hi I use a bio identical progesterone only cream. I also take some supplements and homeopathy. I also do physical therapy as I can’t take meds other than standard paracetamol and ibuprofen due to bad side effects. It depends on your symptoms. X

Thanks for the reply! I’m lucky in that painkillers are no problem for me- though I don’t like to take them unless I’m desperate. I have to steer clear of all hormonal treatments that carry a risk of blood clots. What is bio available progesterone?

Hi bio identical hormone doesn’t have the nasty side effects. Google it to find out more. I’ve tried many complementary treatments and haven’t found any that work for me, some did short term. But money is an issue as I can’t work due to my symptoms.

hey, I hope this might help: try go to a naturopathy, a really good one preferably one that someone can recommend to you, see if they can get you on a diet with supporting supplements. A naturopathy I used told me endometriosis is caused by a bad bowl, as a bad bowl that doesn't work properly makes the neighboring organ to starve and get sick, being your uterus. I quite liked his theory and thought there was an element of truth in it, as my bowls were actually worse than my endo, (keeping in mind I'd just had my endo removed, so it was quite easy to have worse bowls than endo). But it worked, my bowls improved, my pain decreased, lost weight, felt better overall, etc. I tried it for 3 months. next time I'd tell my GP of what I'm doing, as I did start to get increased hair loss. and naturopathy is definitely an alternative option. hope you get better.xx
