Hello All, I really need any help and advice. I've been trying to conceive for nearly 4 years and I was diagnosed with stage 4 endometriosis 2 years ago.
I've had an MRI and the endometriosis has eaten through to my bowel meaning I have a joint womb and bowel and I lose alot of blood from my bowel when I'm on my period.
I have 2 questions, has anyone had a private operation with a multidisciplinary team (endometriosis surgeon, bowel surgeon and I believe a bladder surgeon). If so, please can you tell me how much you paid and where you went. Please private message me. The NHS are incredible, but I've had so many issues and whilst I know private will be expensive, it's something we're considering.
Also, has anyone else got exactly the same as me and been granted ivf through the NHS? My tubes aren't blocked and my husband's sperm is fine. But I do have some large cysts.
Thanks.

I'm sorry you're going through this, it sounds really tough for you.
I had my surgery done at UCLH which has a specialist Endometriosis Clinic and procedures are carried out with a multidisciplinary team (bowel, urology etc.) The care there is really excellent and all NHS provided. Have you thought about being referred there?
Hello RCLondon, I have been referred to UCLH on the 9th of february for severe endometriosis but did not hear back from them yet despite calling them many times to see how my file was going. They always tell me to wait and that i will receive a letter at some point. May I ask you how long it took you to get an appointment there from the moment you got referred ? Thank you very much in advance for your answer!
It took me about a year from the first referral from my GP but once I had the initial consultation it moved quite fast. The care is really the best in its field and is worth the wait. I'm glad I was treated there to be honest. The clinical nursing team is very supportive.
