Just wanting to hear what your next steps were after receiving Zoladex injections? My follow up appointment is tomorrow and I really don’t know what to expect!

Zoladex
Hey, after zoladex I decided to try the depo injection. I’ve only had one depo shot but for me it’s a lot better than zoladex and I’m not having any side effects xx
I had 6mths of zoladex and then had a full hysterectomy. I was finished with my family so was a no brainier for me. I’m currently on hrt and life is so much better no pain no worry and I’m dealing ok with the whole menopause thing.
Good luck
Hi good morning-)
Well I’ve been on the depo (prostrap) for 2:5 years now every 3 months and up to now been fine
As I said in
Previous posts the first 3-6 months you think what the hell its not working
But ....
Then...
It kicks right in and hey ho
No more pains
Bleeding
Flooding
Anything you’re life returns to as normal as you can get
(No more missing party’s or work or date nights )
It’s amazing
Yes you gain a little weight (can be managed with a little diet and exercise (rather be chubbier than have what I was going through! )
And yes it may not be for everyone
But I was having 10 week periods and flooding everywhere and having iron and blood as was so weak and ILL and the most horrendous muscle cramps
I was at the hospital every other day and the Docters well let’s just say (speed dial!)🤣
Anyway the GP keep an eye on me I have regular reviews but even my Docters told me it’s making everything else go away
It’s saving outpatients and hospital and Docters visits and you seem a lot lot happier so stay on it
I’m
Also
pre- manapause at 50!
So I think once I’ve gone through the change they will
Stop
It
But for now it’s been great
Just try and bear with it as I said takes a few to really kick in but it’s worth it and so much better than zoladex and tram anemic acid they did nothing
Take care hope it works for you and anyone else & if you have any Q just ask
Xx
I was trying injections before my surgery. I only ended up doing 2 of the 6 months of injections because my surgery got bumped up in priority after a hospital visit. I am now 2 weeks post op and back trying progestin tabs.
