Had a laparoscopy 8 weeks ago which determined Endometriosis. The past 4 weeks I’ve had pain episodes like before the op. Where they actually determined it was a cyst (no one ever mentioned Endo) I keep having episodes of pain gradually building to a phenomenal stab/throbbing pain that takes my breathe away and makes me cry. Is this normal? Has anyone else experienced this pain?
Thanks in advance

I don't know if it's normal but this is my experience too. I had my lap 10 weeks ago, endo and cysts removed, still in pain most days. I saw my consultant last week and he said he wasn't concerned and to monitor my pain for the next six months before coming back. I don't know if this is right or not but it left me totally deflated, so although I don't know if it's normal or not I completely understand where you are coming from and how frustrating it is! :/
The throbbing/stabbing pain for me is one of my main symptoms for it. When you had your laparoscopy did you have the tissue excised or did they use diathermy?
I had my first laparoscopy last July and the gynae used diathermy to remove it but where it was only burning off the bad tissue mine has come back pretty quickly (within the first two months) I am now back on the waiting list for another surgery to have the tissue excised.
If you’re worried about the pain I’d go back and get another referral. Hope you get it sorted soon x
