I'm really at a loss atm. So my gyno has pretty much dismissed me and made me feel like he doesn't believe I'm in agony. Ive been on a period now for over 18days.
Ive been brushed off by the doctors and nurses. Where can I go from here?
The pain effect my everyday life, my job,my hobbies and my relationship with my soon to be hubby.

Go to another hospital and see a gynecology staff their ,if in that much pain I had do this many times and eventually found a amazing gyni who believed me.good luck
I had to go back to the GP to get a new referral. You can choose which hospital to attend. I looked on the individual consultant’s profiles before deciding to pick one with an endometriosis specialist. Good luck! It’s not pleasant and not everyone understands the symptoms.
I went to a private hospital through an NHS self referral and they were great. No messing round at all. First appointment was an MRI then the next appointment I got booked in for a laparoscopy and got diagnosed. All in all it only took 2 months from my initial appointment to finally get the answer I needed!
If you continue bleeding for 18 days,go back to your GP or emergency ASAP.In terms of gyane find BSGE hospital in your area,it takes time but they are the specialist of endo ,dont go to gernal gyane again.
I had to fight really hard to be taken seriously unfortunately if your gyno will not help you, see your family doctor and request a second option. You have a right to this! You’re going to have to really advocate for yourself unfortunately doctors don’t often take us seriously..
You should definitely go back to your GP and demand to be sent to an endo specialist. It is so annoying that they dismiss our pain like we dont know our own bodies. If you go online, you will see a list of BGSE endometriosis accredited centres. Look for one close enough and go to your GP armed with this information. I had to fight to be heard too. All the best hun and please you are not alone okay.
