Side effects from Decapapeptyl

Hi Ladies,

Can anyone help with this question?

I have been on the above since October 2018, so now on my 8th injection, which I had Monday past.

Initially, I did not suffer too much with a flare up and my last period was end of November, just after the 2nd one. I did feel, a bit off at times, with pretty intense headaches.

When my injection is wearing off, around 28 days, I get a slight discharge and flashes, plus headache. I receive my injection every 28 days, as I may spot if not. Recently, since, I have had my post 6 month injection, I have felt flu like with body aches and shattered and have brown spotting 24 to 48 hours after, then it settles.

I think there is a pattern here as above, injection needing renewed, spotting (minimal), flu like etc, then when I get topped up and similar and then settles?

Is this indeed normal, I find it unsettling, but have noted these are side effects under very common.' Not sure if withdrawal or breakthrough at beginning and end, as estrogen levels change

My Gynae is allowing me to take them until August 2019, then I have to stop to see if at 51 years, I will be menopausal.

I had UFE for an intramural fibroid in 2017 and was on Northeristone, but struggled to cope with the withdrawal bleeds. The procedure was a success, but I have a phobia of menstrual blood loss. So as long as I have no bleeding or periods I am grand.

I also take Prozac for panic/anxiety, although, I am much recovered.

I have had loads of tests, MRI, scans and all good, fibroid dead and I cannot feel it now.

I am on this I get mine 3 monthly and with the first one I only had 4 -5 weeks no pain then as I was due to get my next one at around 10.5 weeks the pain returned and I’ve had it since, I’m tired constant and achy it’s horrible xx I’m in agony waiting a pelvic scan x
