I was the same. My periods actually aren't too bad due to my contraceptive pill, but I had a second lap due to lots of breakthrough bleeding and terrible stabbing pains the week after my period. DURING my period I get just light cramps and then all hell breaks loose on day 5 or so.

After my lap I had my 'period' (break from my pill) and OH MY GOD was I in agony. About 3 days before it arrived I was bent over in pain, screaming, crying, I basically felt as though I was being cut in half, worse than my pains before going on the pill. I haven't had another one since as I back to back my pill packets three at a time but hoping next time won't be so bad. My surgeon did warn me it could get worse before it got better.

I’m in exactly the same position, just a few months further down the line and now considering the additional surgery...Do you have any painkillers to help? I take naproxen which seems to help take the edge off. It’s so hard to stay positive, but I guess atleast we have the option of the additional surgery if it gets too much?

Fingers crossed for you! Hope it helps. I find that paracetamol doesn’t even touch the pain.
