My sister started suffering with pain in her ovaries in Feb, she says even more so when she is on her period. She describes her pain as ovaries on fire, feels tired all the time, she suffers from anxiety and depression, but it's extremely bad at the moment she's always crying and threatened to drive her car off the road, she did say she would never do anything with 2 kids at home. She's also been wretching she isn't sick just wretching. She has been to a and e a number of times all her blood tests come back fine and any other tests they do, she is waiting to see the gynae in May, as they believe it could be hormones, I have endo so there's a chance she could have that. Does anyone have any advice I could give her in the mean time as she is so depressed and everyday says she is not well, and wants me to take her to a and e but everytime we go everything comes back fine then she calms down and then she starts again. She has gone back on the combined pill and stronger anti depressants if anyone has any advice it would be great
Thanks

I'm very sorry to hear your sister is suffering so much.
It sounds like if she is on anti-depressants already, that the GP is aware of her mental health situation, but I would recommend if she is still feeling so low and is expressing suicidal ideation, that she goes back to the GP to see if they can help her any further. Has she been referred for counselling at all? If not, she may be able to refer herself directly to a NHS psychological therapies service without seeing the GP. You can find more information here:
Thanks for your reply. She is currently in hospital having tests and scans done and keeping her in for another night. Nothing has been confirmed as of yet, waiting on more tests and results.
