How do you guys cope when you feel like you’re in agony?! I’m on 8 tramadol a day, come out for a meal and drinks for a friends 21st birthday... sitting at the table in so much pain, feeling all teary. Do you guys ever feel like nobody understands how much pain this condition actually causes? Feel so alone and can’t keep my pain undercontrol. I really feel like it’s affecting my life at the moment. Just so upset, thought my surgery would solve everything, but it’s returned with such a vengeance 😔

Hi Natalie, I really understand how you feel and I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this.

I remember being at a friends wedding a week or two before my first laparoscopy and I had to keep going outside to cry in the dark where no one could see me - i think one of the worst things about endometriosis is the loneliness it causes because few people around you can understand what you’re going through.

It’s very demotivating when the pain returns after surgery isn’t it. X

It’s so awful isn’t it, it really is a horrible condition that nobody seems to understand. It really is, have you had anymore surgery since? X

My first lap was to diagnose endometriosis and remove a growth, I then had a second lap to remove some of the endo although I chose not to remove all of it as it’s on my bowl. How about you, have you been able to have any removed? X

I had a laporoacopy to diagnose, then 10 month later I had surgery to remove it, I’m the same as you, it’s very close to my bowel so it was complex but they were confident they removed it. I had that done in November and I’d say I didn’t even get 2 month relief from the pain, it’s back now and I’d say it’s worse than ever x

I really feel for you, it’s so horrible when people around you expect you to feel better and instead it’s just the same as it ever was, or worse in your case. Xx

Hey hun! I can completely relate to this, I had my first Lap & treatment 3 weeks ago now and the pain returned worse than ever just 2 weeks after, I know a lot of people said it takes time to recover but I’m so worried the surgery hasn’t worked! Im having to take dihydrocodeine and paracetamol constantly to ease the pain, hot water bottle also helps and I’ve recently started taking CBD supplement capsules from Holland & Barrett to see if they help as I saw a few people on here recommend it. I also feel like everyone around me is fed up of hearing me go on about how much pain I’m in, it has such a big impact on daily life! Joining here has really helped, so many others are suffering and hearing from everyone else gives me some comfort that I’m not on my own! I feel unless your going through it you don’t truly understand it!

X

Hot water bottle helps me, I’m on tramadol and I have started Cbd from Holland and barrat last week. That is so so true, nobody understands the pain is causes and how much of an impact it has to us daily x
