Bowel Problems
Sometimes I find it very painful. I have large endometrioma cysts on both of my ovaries and I think these press on the bowel making it very painful when I need to go and when I do actually try and go but often relief afterwards. What pain relief are you taking? Codeine can also affect your bowel, making it more painful to go. Sorry to hear you're in so much pain.
Yes but I find prune juice, chia seeds and flax seeds help. Very painful bowel movements which subconciously makes me not want to go which makes it all worse. Psyllium husk is good too.
I also experience it from time to time. Need to watch what I am eating. Before my surgery I even fainthed in the bathroom because of the pain.
After the endometrioma was removed, the pain got managable but need to do a lot of selfcare to keep things moving. Take supplements, do some stretching, visit a pelvic physical therapist, have belly massages if it feels right.
Yes I too have more issues now than before as I have one cyst behind my uterus connecting to my bowel and two cyst in my ovary. I am in immense pain opening or emptying my bladder. I have severe pelvis pain from it.
I have had issues with this. During menstruation, the pain during defecation was intense. More often my stools were also soft and/or loose so it shouldn’t have been as excruciating as it was. I’m on the pill now, no period, no pain.
Of course! It might be because you have adhesions around the bowel, bowel endo, organs attached to your bowel or just a leaky gut and/or disbiosis or similar issues.
You need to undergo excision surgery with an experienced endo surgeon if there's endo on the bowel or attached organs.
If that's not the case, you need to start healing your gut (the best website on endo nutrition and gut health is healendo.com). Drink plenty of water, have at least 3 portions of veggies a day, eat plenty of fish, nuts, eggs and legumes are good too.
Cut out all processed, fried foods and refined carbs.
Thanks for that website suggestion, very helpful. I've suffered for years with all this bowel problems, without even realising I had the problem, as i was so focused on my sore pelvis..Thanks heaps.
No problem! I am here if you need more information! Magnesium is also helpful against estrogen dominance, endometriosis in general and constipation so give it a go if you haven't yet. Bowel issues can be related to vitamin D deficiency, which is common with endo and autoimmune disorders. Get that checked out if you haven't yet
