Condensed Excessive pain and bleeding

Hi all

Normally avoid posting and such like. Have endo, couple of laps with helica (no success) and 2 rounds of Zoladex - first gave me 18 months of normality - 2nd not so much. Just wanted to know if anyone has experienced the following as is scaring me a bit at the moment! Over the past few months a new pattern has emerged with my periods - start and get about 5 days of light (probably normal) period with mild (or what I class as mild) cramp - would be heaven. However this is followed by a whole new level of pain for about a day and a half where no painkiller even makes a dent and then after this it seems like my body feels like hemorraging and I get 6 months worth of periods in the space of a couple of hours (sorry for the gory nature of the mental picture!)

Just wondered if anyone else had experienced this and what if anything was tried for it (not back to see my consultant till next month and stressing)

Hi, I don’t get the light bleeding so much but mine usually start with 2 days of very heavy bleeding, so much so I couldn’t leave the house as I keep needing to change and cramps pretty much comparable to child berth! No painkillers will even touch them. Thankfully by day 3-5 it’s probably just a heavy period by normal standards! It has been picked up by blood tests that my iron levels drop and take around 2 weeks to normalise again. Not sure this helps but you aren’t alone!

Wow, you're going through something really tough. I'd suggest getting more than one opinion. It's really important to do that. You need to be sure about the issues. Only then can you tackle them. Best of luck to you! I hope things get better. This does sound serious!
