Has anyone developed melasma (skin discolouration) from the contraceptive pill or as a result of having endometriosis. If so how have you managed to treat this?

Melasma and Endometriosis
Hi, i have had melasma now for roughly 10 years since my son was born. I cant help you with treatment as i havent found anything that helps. I have large patches on my forehead and my cheeks are half covered. Ive found in the summer wearing factor 50 on my face stops them deepening in colour. I dont know if it was linked to the pill after i had my son or my endo. But it sort of came on me from nowhere. Sorry i couldnt be more helpful.
Thankyou for your reply. My melasma came on after The onset of my endo symptoms and also around the time i started taking Desogestral contraceptive pill. Im not Sure what has caused it to be honest but i am aware that there a link with both melasma and endo and melasma and the pill x
I dont know about you but im really concious of it, but hate to wear alot of make up. Its really strange that its on my face but nowhere else on my body. Just something else to thank hormones for!
Yes thats the same with me its on my face and only recently and i am thinking after 36 years of not wearing much make up to invest in some lol
