On Wednesday I had bad stomach pain and when I saw the surgical team they suggested it was endrometriosis but nothing showed up on the ultrasound or ct scan. My doctor seems to think its a muscle spasm. Should I get this investigated further?
Ended up in A & E: On Wednesday I had bad... - Endometriosis UK
Ended up in A & E
Hi cloverwolf was in the same situation last year however they told me I had fatty liver they disregarded my comments about endometriosis despite me having recurring symptoms for the last 7 years also they can't always pick up traces of endo with scans the only way to be certain if you have it is by laparoscopy keyhole surgery keep going back to your GP or A&E until they listen to you!
Thanks I mean I want my periods investigated anyway so heavy they always have been but I have never had pain other than a few occasions. The doctors want to stop them to improve my iron levels with the mirena coil as I am severely anaemic. The consultant in A & E seemed pretty certain said it doesn't show up on scans my doctors seemed very skeptical. Yes I have always had really heavy periods but shouldn't they be investigated as to why before they stop them?
No worries and yes of course they should! make sure you push for all the relavant tests and don't be fobbed of with pain medication or contreception it can help with some of the symptoms but everyone's different
