I was wondering if anyone could share some experiences/advice. I came off my evera patch last saturday (so it's been 8 days today) and since I've come off it I've been experiencing the WORST migranes ever. I can barely keep my eyes open and this has been happening for the last 5 days to date.
I have been to see the chiropractor twice in 1 week so i dont think it can be muscular. Can anyone share some advise as to if this could be because I'm off the evra patch and how to cope/get rid of thos awful pain in my head and eyes!
Thank you in advance!
Much love xxx

I understand how you feel because I've had terrible migrains too. I'm sure is related to the patches because mine were because of hormonal imbalances too (although I didn't use any hormonal treatment). The first thing I can tell you is to be patient. I was prescribed codeine, but I only used It when I was desperate, because it's quite strong. Before codeine I used paracetamol and naproxen 500. I also used some natural remedies, like putting ice on my nape, a few drops of lavender oil on my nape and the temples. I also went to an osteopath and to an acupuncturist, and this last one helped me quite a bit. I told him I had hormonal issues. Maybe you could try this.. I hope you get better
Thank you so much for your reply, at least i know I'm not alone. I have tried ibuprofen but it didn't help so I'm not sure if paracetamol will. I will definitely try acupunture as I've been thinking about this for a while now. Just would prefer to use natural remedies rather than tablets. Do you still suffer from them and if so do they come at certain times? X
I also prefer to use natural remedies, but sometimes it's required some help with medication. I prefer Naproxen to Ibuprofen, but if you try It you need to take omeoprazole before, so It doesn't upset your stomach. My migraines have improved little by little, I sometimes have a headache but not as strong. But you never know when they can come back, I've had different episodes along my life. I still go to the acupuncturist and I also started taking primrose oil every day. I hope It helps..
