Anyone experienced a hematoma on the abdominal wall after a laparoscopy?

I had a diagnostic laparoscopy on Monday 4th February. I was home the same day, no issues, slight bruising around the incisions within the first few days but other than that, all was fine. I've been resting etc.

Anyway, on Monday just gone, so a week after the laparoscopy, I started getting a strange pain between the two incisions, on the left side. Yesterday I noticed a random bruise appearing and last night I noticed a hard lump underneath the bruise.

I went to the hospital last night and they said they think it's a hematoma but my body will just absorb it itself however my pain is still quite bad. I can't sit directly on my bum as the pain shoots across my left side and the area around the bruise is beginning to feel tender.

The hospital told me to give it a week and if I'm still concerned then they'll scan me but there's not much point as they won't do anything? Does this sound right? Just a bit concerned but the hospital didn't worry at all!

Any advice?? X
