Hi gals

I had lap in July, was 4 hours long removing stage 4 endo everywhere in my pelvic area. Was also diagnosed with adenomyosis. Had post op 3 months later and after much conversation with specialist I have been put on list for hysterectomy ( leaving ovaries)

In the last year or so my sex drive has dropped dramatically. This weekend however I had it twice! However I’m not sat rocking in so much more pain then Iv been in for a long time (after sex) but this time the pain seems further up my abdomen and feeling very nauseous... is this normal? For these conditions obviously. Is it a sign things are getting worse?

I had stage 4 Endo. I lost count of the surgeries I had. I tried every hormone and drug therapy and got nothing but side effects til this very day. I developed adneomyosis at age 46 and I was literally bleeding to death due to the adenomyosis of my uterus. The best thing I ever did was have a hysterectomy. I did however keep my ovaries which kept me out of menopause hit 8 years. At 8 year point, menopause hit with dryness down below. Sex life changed instantly. But generally I only have that and a few hot flushes. I don’t take HRT.

Since then after happyva happy normal life for 8 years with only some adhesion pain, I developed a PVNS Tumour in my elbow, also an IPMN cyst in my Pancreas due to use of ZOLIDEX implants in my 30’s.

Now......I have a Brain Aneurysm and waiting for surgery to save my life.

I only tell you this because Endone and it’s treatment is at the base of all that has happened to me. Autoimmune disease never goes away. It causes many issues within our bodies and the treatments not much better.

Hydro tho...I wish I’d had it done earlier. I also say to you, once you have the hysterectomy, ( hopefully you will keep your ovaries, DONT have HRT. It may cause temanent cells of Endo to regrow ( even without your uterus. Oestrogen makes endo grow...alternative medicine is the best and safest way to go.

My additional problems, can happen to anyone of us. Mine made worse by early drug and hormone treatment.

Look after yourself and make good choices. It’s your body.

Cheers

Keri

I have only had hormones in the form of birth control and what not and I have refused any of the chemically inducing hormones etc. I have one child who is 10, I have such a poor life due to these conditions I couldn’t have another child even if I could carry full term. Iv heard so many good things and women saying minus the pre op pain they felt instantly better after having hysterectomy. I have other non related conditions too. My bowel doesn’t open unless I use suppositorys. It’s not much of a life x
