Just thanking the ladies for all the support I got over the past few weeks.

I got very down with this condition.

Im on a new antidepressant plus pregabalin for pain.

The jury is out as to wether the Pregabalin is working yet. Im on 75mg x 2 daily. Increased on friday from 2 x 50mg which did 0 for me.

Im having evening phases of pain free time (ie no back flank pain)

But not enough to carry out chores in the earlier part of the day.

As usual I will speak with Dr on Friday and provide you an update soon.

Thank you.

Helly.

Thank you Sf

I am managing MUCH better the 75mg pregabalin x 2 daily has taken a good chunk of the worst of my gnawing back pain away.

Ive felt more positive and even more able to help out with answers on this site!

Dr said I can top up with Ibuprofen if needed.

I hope you are in an upward turn yourself 😉

3 weeks ago I was completely in devastation with the pain.

Shows you if you are persistent and get the right care/management plan you can prevail.

Thank you Sf

*Update

Pregabalin 75mg x 2 daily is working to some extent, mainly a good while after pill 2 is taken.

My GP is letting me use ibuprofen intermittently too for pain. Im managing much better, ok the pain is not completely gone but its been turned down a good few notches. This has undoubetedly had an affect on my mood being in better shape 😉.

Just wanted to say it took me 3 conversations with my GP to get me prescribed this medication as its meant to be getting bad press with it altering peoples personalities or becoming highly addictive. Im feeling ok nothing major to report, just that quietening of pain in my back flank area.

Ive been dx with an Underactive thyroid from Thursday, so Im now feeling the pieces of the puzzle re my depression are falling into place. I have to get retested in a month to see if I need my thyroid supplemented. It runs in my family.

Im also feeling other side effects of this (headachey, carpel tunnel in fungers, fatigue, slow thought process and brain fog, panic attack in sleep.)

Im hoping for a much improved me for the year going into 2019.

I hope I get some resolve soon on all the matters above!

Helly.
