Been prescribed Cerazette to try and stop my cycle.
Had excision surgery a few years ago but since having my baby I’ve felt Endo symptoms coming back. I’ve ended up with extreme anxiety from feeling so crap all the time and wondering what the hell is wrong with me.
I’ve been taking Cerazette for 3 days and I feel even worse, like I’ve taken a sedative or something, mild constant headache and I feel really tearful and angry. Is it possible for Cerazette to affect me that quickly or is it my anxious mind doing it???

Any change in hormone can affect you and mood changes and headaches are common. It may settle down though. If it doesn’t be sure to see your GP. Progesterone only pills don’t suit everyone.
Hi, I have several different progesterone only pills ,twice I tried cerazette and after just a day or two knew that there was something that I reacted with with cerazette as it made me feel pretty low and very tearful and as soon as I stopped them, although my bleeding issues were still problematic, I felt lighter in mood again, although I don't think it was listed as a side effect, but they definitely caused that with me..tried them twice with a few months gap wondering if it had been something else, but same effect occurred within 24-48 hours of taking them..am on norethisterone currently without those effects (and monthly prostap injections) as am waiting for total abdominal hysterectomy as unfortunately the bleeding has continued and fibroids have been now diagnosed.Wishing you well and hopefully finding a progesterone only pill which will be more suited to you, take care.x
I had to stop cerazette. I gave it 5 months and enough was enough. I felt so down and rubbishy. Also bled for 3 weeks solid. I was drained. Threw it in the bin and went back to gp for combined pill. They were reluctant as i suffer from migraines however i begged them. What a difference the combined pill has been. I take it back to back for 3 months then 1 week break, i do feel lousy for the week, however in the grand scheme of things i can put up with 1 week of feeling rotten for a few months of peace xx
Hello, I had to come off cerazette after the first pack as I bled for 28 days and was an absolute emotional wreck - crying at everything and anything !!! Since coming off symptoms haven’t gone away from my stomach but I haven’t bled for as long and feel a little better within myself xxx
