I’m new to this group and I’m seeking some advice and info. After a few years of believing I had bowel issues it’s now being questioned is it actually endometriosis so I wanted to see if sufferes share the same symptoms as me.
I get a lot of pain in my groin area, where period pains would occur and in my lower back. I know this is common in sufferers... but I also get the feeling that I can not hold my wee and that I need to wee all the time when I actually don’t. Is this something other people experience?? It’s horrible and it brings on anxiety especially when I’m in busy or public places because I get so worried about not being able to hold it!
Another thing is I suffer with is chronic constipation, and feeling sick. I often feel so sick after eating a meal, or even some days I’ll just wake up feeling sick. Is this something other people experience?
Along with these two things I get a lot of the other more common symptoms but these two things I was unsure if they at all maybe related to endometriosis. Any response and help would be really appreciated🙏🏻

A couple of days ago there was a post put on here about the symptoms of Endometriosis so have a look at that, there are so many and see if you match any of them. Also check out the NHS sites which are pretty good.
There are a few gynaecology illnesses so maybe if you don’t fit into one with regards to your symptoms you may with another.
Have you had any tests? Laparoscopy or MRI, blood tests? Internal examination?
Like you I can feel the need to pee but I can’t pass a toilet. I can go then need 5 minutes later. It’s ridiculous!
I didn’t even know I had Adenomyosis until I had an MRI & Endometriosis can only be diagnosed via laparoscopy. The doctors and consultants may think you have it however it’s only confirmed once you have had the operation unfortunately.
Anyway please do PM me if you need to ask anything.
Lots of lovely ladies on here that will offer you advice and tell their stories x
I’ve had an internal examination done and there was no signs of any inflammation or anything, also had swabs and they were all clear. The doctor then recommended to get endometriosis ruled out and this was the 5th dr I saw in a week regarding pain etc and all said to get it checked and ‘ruled out’. I’m now waiting for internal ultrasounds and then a laparoscopy. Had bloods everything seemed normal. Not had an MRI for anything gynaecology related.
That’s exactly how I am. I can’t wee but feel the need to, this can be all day some days and it’s honestly stressing me out beyond belief!
Thank you for your response. Hopefully can have that lap op soon and get an answer 😢🙏🏻 X
I hope you get your lap soon I am waiting for mine and my symptoms are getting worse, it’s so frustrating! The NHS do a wonderful job but I guess it all takes time x
Hi im Nel i have had all the things that you are concerned, about endometriosis is a pelvic inflamatory condition of the tissues of the womb its a painful condition and theres not a lot doctors can do ,they can offer you a hysterectomy I had mine at 31years old ,you can also try homepathic remedies, about the bowel and bladder think thats something you need to talk to your doctor, they can offer a procedure but it would be an operation which I had a few months ago for both these conditions think its all connected im fellin better each so hope this ha helped you
Thanks for the response. I just wanted an idea to see is others suffer with them two symptoms that I do as I don’t know if they’re very common so I wanted to see if they could potentially be related. I’m only 21 so a hysterectomy is no option at the moment I’m afraid IF it is endometriosis! I am under a consultant for my bowel and he thinks it’s best to have endo ruled out, just waiting for the tests now but as I said just wanted to see if these two things could be related!
Hey, I also suffer from these symptoms. My PT evaluated me and took a holistic approach to my treatment. I don't know if you measure how much you drink in a day (I never thought about it,) but my PT asked that take note of how much I was drinking for a few days. I was shocked to see how many oz I was drinking. It was a lot. She showed me that you should only drink half of your body weight in oz in a day (so for me being 120 lb, I drink no more than 60 oz a day.) Practicing that has made a difference in how I feel. All that water weight was hurting me more. I also have pelvic pain dysfunction, the kind in which I'm too tense. This book helped me a lot along with practicing loosening yoga stretches often: "Heal Pelvic Pain," by Amy Stein, M.P. T. You can search on YouTube "Yoga stretches for pelvic floor." I wish I could say that doing all this and changing my diet to "the endometriosis diet" took all of my pain away but that isn't true. However, doing these things has made a positive difference. My pain isn't as bad as it was. I hope this information helps you too. Best wishes.
Hey Mennajones! Yes I experience all of those symptoms. Each woman might experience Endo in different ways according to where it grows and how much it grows etc etc. There are also a few other conditions that include those symptoms so it's good to get a proper health check-up as well as investigating Endo to find out the full scope of what's occuring. My last laparoscopy pretty much cured my vomiting! I still get nauseous and in pain all the time, but not as bad. I am looking for my second laparoscopy at the moment to get more removed. As we have experienced similar symptoms, feel free to ask any questions related to them. Good luck!
Hi, all the symptoms you describe can well be endo. I have it mainly on the bowel. You could possibly have it on your bladder or your anxiety is causing the bladder problems. The only reliable diagnosis is a lap. Perhaps you could see if it can be done a little earlier. There are many drugs out there that help before the drastic step of a hysterectomy. I was on zoladex for many years and got my life back. In the meantime, try not to be anxious. Watch what you eat as certain foods can aggrevate endo..drink plenty of fluids and stay away from coffee and tea, fizzy drinks. Someone mentioned homeopathy and i think its fantastic if you find a good homeopathist. Good luck love x
