Hey, I’d probably go doctors regarding the cystitis as they can give you tablets to treat it. And the pain is probably just your insides healing as they don’t like to be prodded haha.
Doctors tend to say wait 3-4 months before you really notice if there’s a difference in pain etc xx
you can get over the counter sachets to treat cystitis at most supermarkets and pharmacies, its usually called cystitis relief and comes in powder form which you dissolve in water then drink, some are flavoured. the active ingredient is sodium citrate. Although cystitis is sort of an infection, it's actually an imbalance of good bacteria which makes that area unhappy and responds to your urine, so make it inflamed and sore ( the -itis part means just that). Drink lots of water, avoid acidic drinks such as orange juice and soft drinks, try fruit teas and yoghurts. The sachets get rid of that irritated urge to wee, which I found helps sooooo much! The sachets cost anywhere from £2 to £5 for 3 days treatment, depending on own branding (but much like painkillers and stuff the active ingredient is the same). A prescription, well that obviously costs more.
Pain after the op, when I asked my specialist he said it's firstly because of what's been done (the insides don't like being moved around) and because our bodies can't tell the difference between endo pain and removal of endo pain, we just assume it's the same so it feels no different. Give it a few months, it can take up to four to feel 100%, to have an idea of how things are going forward. Your first few periods may feel horrible but that's to be expected so just plan duvet days while you recover.
