Missed endometriosis after laparoscopy!

So..... I have been having problem for 13 years. It was always assumed my issue was bowel based. However as I have developed from a teenager to women my symptoms have significantly got worse.

My doctor was certain I had endometriosis, most likely on my bowel... I had laparoscopy back in April which did not show evidence.

Went to my doctors today as my symptoms have worsened yet again and am now passing 50p size blood clots daily.

My doctor said “i am still pretty sure it’s endometriosis” I asked if it’s possible to have been missed during the laparoscopy and she said yes

I feel SO almost and am being refrered back to gynaecology!

Hi, I just wanted to say yes it’s very possible. It happened to me and I’ve been in touch with a couple of people who have been through the same thing. Especially if the lap is done with a general gynaecologist. I had a lap with gynaecologist which was ‘clear’ then another less than 4 months later with an endo specialist and he found it in a number of areas.
