Has anyone ever had a total hysterectomy due to endometriosis and then had the enod return about a year after their hysterectomy?? Also, has anyone had low estrogen levels due to the hysterectomy but still had the endo grow back??
My issue began with a UTI that I got 10 mths following my TOTAL supracervical hysterectomy. Let me start by saying that I never get uti's nor have I ever had bladder problems. This was only the 2nd uti I've had in my life. Coincidentally, my doc suspected endo was causing my bladder symptoms and he did another surgery and found endo all over my peritoneal cavity, cervical stump and 1 small spot on my bladder. My symptoms didn't resolve after surgery. I've been checked for IC and it was clear. I also have very good bladder capacity. My estrogen level is 70. A couple of my doctors say my bladder isn't getting enough estrogen therefore I got this UTI that basically embedded itself. Any thoughts??

I had a total hysterectomy 3 years ago due to endo and other issues. I still now have endo with scar adhesions . The endo grows anywhere. At the moment i can feel it imbedded on my bladder which will mean another trip into hospital. It is something that i feel very frustrated as there is not a cure for it. I have had to cancel my private health insurances the premiums went sky high as a result of this. So back to the struggling NHS for me it is. So you are not alone on this nasty matter. You just have to try and live with it.
Hi, yes I had total hysterectomy at 32. Lived with constant low back pain and sciatica ever since having it. Just been for mri. Don’t know whether to go down the route of laporoscopy and possibly excision. I am very worried as it can still come back and don’t want to have constant operations which could make it worse. What do you do? This disease is unrelenting. Best wishes x
