Hey guys! I have another doctors appointment on friday about all my pains etc and try and get a diagnosis. I really would like to push it to my doctor that i think it’s endo (all my symptoms match up and runs in woman side of family). Do you have any tips or things i should say to them to have more tests and for them to take me more seriously? I’m really struggling at the moment and feel like i’m not being taken seriously. x Sorry if it seems like i’m posting a lot i’m just new to all of this and have so many questions to ask as i’m only 19 x

Pushing a diagnosis
Hi Tessaroo,
Talking your doctor about endometriosis can become quite nerve wracking, especially when you feel as though you're not being taken seriously.
At Endometriosis UK, we've put together a guide to help you through the process of visiting your doctor: endometriosis-uk.org/visiti...
This guide also contains a pain & symptoms diary, which some people have found useful in keeping track of relevant pain information to bring to their doctor.
We've also put together a specific information sheet on how to get a diagnosis: endometriosis-uk.org/sites/...
The main thing to keep in mind is that you should never be made to feel unheard by your doctor, and you are entitled to ask as many questions as is appropriate within your appointment time.
Good luck with your appointment and remember there is lots of information on our website about endometriosis, including different support services we offer that can help support you: endometriosis-uk.org/get-su...
Kind regards,
Gemma, Endometriosis UK
Hi.
I can’t remember exactly what I said but because I was persistent about the pain they referred me for tests which is when I ended up having the laparoscopy which confirmed my endometriosis. I would say just keep pushing!!
